Board of Directors
The Board has the responsibility to govern the organisation and the power to decide how that will be done.It is made up of voluntary members including 4 members of the City of Edinburgh Council, a lawyer, members of the business community and the theatre community.
Senior Management
The Artistic Director and Chief Executive directs the executive operations of the Company, programmes the season and directs at least two productions a season.
The Administrative Producer leads the administrative and income generation operations of the Company: Finance, Administration, Marketing, Business Development, Education, Theatre Management, and general sales of the organisation.
The Head of Production leads the production operations of the Company: Stage Management, Workshop, Wardrobe, Stage Technicians, Electricians, Sound and also Maintenance.
Administration
Accountant deals with all finances for the Company
Administration deals with Company wide administration including funding applications and human resources.
Buildings Manager ensures all the Company’s buildings are safe and well-maintained.
Business Development raise money through sponsorship and trusts and liaise with those businesses that sponsor the Company.
Education deliver activities that engage audience members of all ages in the work of the Company.
Maintenance clean and maintain the theatre and administration buildings.
Stage Door Keeper a receptionist for the Company based at Stage Door, the staff entrance to the theatre.
Youth Theatre Leader directs and administrates the Youth Theatre
Front of House
Bar Staff part-time staff who work behind the bar.
Theatre Manager manages the Front of House team.
Ushers part-time staff who take tickets, sell programmes and ice cream and generally assist audiences.
Marketing and Box Office
Box Office sell tickets and maintain databases of previous customers.
Communications Officer liaises with the press.
Marketing promote the work of the theatre in order to increase ticket sales through the use of print, advertising, and press coverage.
Production
Carpenter constructs the set.
Cutter cuts the patterns for the costumes
Dresser maintains the costumes and assists the actors dressing.
Electrician rigs and focuses lanterns and other electrical effects and operates lighting during the production.
Flyman flys bars during the production and production week – raising and lowering large pieces of the set onto and off the stage.
Head of Sound designs and prepares all sound for the production.
Maker makes the costumes.
Scenic Artist paints and finishes the set.
Stage Management source and make props, run rehearsals, cue the show, set and move props during the show.
Stage Technician moves the set during the production and production week.
Wardrobe Supervisor liaises with the designer and oversees the making.
Workshop Manager liases with the designer and oversees the making of the set.
