STEP BEHIND THE CURTAIN
Since 1965 the Royal Lyceum Theatre Company has inhabited the beautiful Victorian Royal Lyceum Theatre building. Led by visionary Artistic Directors such as Tom Fleming, Kenny Ireland and now Mark Thomson; from Ellen Terry to David Tennant, many great names have graced our stage. We remain committed to staging world class drama, our repertoire features the biggest names in Scottish theatre in plays old and new, which are as brave as they are entertaining, as challenging as they are life affirming.
The Royal Lyceum Theatre Building, built in 1883 is magnificent example of late Victorian theatre architecture with its stage set behind a proscenium arch; however that is only half the story. Behind the scenes is a talented team of technicians, carpenters, seamstresses and scenic artists, all ensuring the production of world class theatre for Edinburgh and for Scotland. It is this very process that lies at the heart of what the Royal Lyceum Theatre Company stands for, and this process that we now wish to share with you our audience.

• Invitations to dress rehearsals and behind the scenes events
• Invitations to ‘meet the cast events’
• One free Theatre Class ticket per season
• Private backstage tours of the Lyceum and our workshop*
• Signed posters from our season
Gold Supporter
£240.00 per annum or £20.00 a month by Direct Debit.
All bronze and silver benefits, plus:
• Annual VIP reception
• Exclusive talks and events by resident and visiting companies
• Acknowledgement in programmes and the theatre foyer
• Rooms available for private entertaining*
• Invitation to a reception for the opening night of the season
• Signed programmes and print
The programme of events will vary according to each show and Supporters will be kept informed on a monthly basis. Events will be held around both matinee and evening performances to ensure they are accessible to everyone.
*these events are subject to availability and prior arrangement.

NAME A SEAT
Naming a seat is a special way of acknowledging your support for the Lyceum, marking a special occasion or simply remembering someone who enjoyed spending their time here. This is a perfect opportunity to join over 200 individuals and organisations in sponsoring a seat in the Lyceum’s beautiful auditorium.
An inscription of your choice will be engraved onto a brass plague and mounted on the seat of your choice (subject to availability) in the Lyceum’s auditorium for the lifetime of the seat.
