Under the Directorship of Mark Thomson the Lyceum has developed into a company whose artistic aspirations are matched by its ability to stage work of a demanding yet accessible nature.

Mark’s ambitious vision for what the Lyceum should be has been vindicated by record audience numbers, acclaim among the UK theatre community and commitment from our principal funders (the Scottish Arts Council and City of Edinburgh Council) to increase their base level support.
