LyT provides regular youth theatre sessions for young people aged from 5 to 18 years. Our three terms run from September to December, January to March and April to June. There are no auditions to join but entry is by application - click here for more info on joining LyT.

Play LyT is a Friday afternoon group for children aged 5 to 7, and is based around themed fun and games.
Unlike the other LyT age groups, there is no permanent membership or waiting list – instead, places are booked on a first-come first-served basis from our Box Office on 0131 248 4848

Play LyT, the Lyceum Youth Theatre’s dynamic and fun drama group for 5—7 year olds, continues on Fridays 2:00pm—3:30pm. We look forward to seeing you in the New Year!

Mini LyT is a Thursday evening/Friday afternoon group for ages 8 to 10, and concentrates on theatre skills, group fun and performances. There are two separate Mini LyT groups, meeting on different days of the week.
Membership is very limited, although there is a waiting list, and applicants must complete and return an application form.

Junior LyT a Saturday drama group for young people aged 11 to 13 years. There are three different groups, each with their own character and all bursting with exuberance!

Senior LyT is for young people aged 14 to 18 years and its three groups meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
Essentially the Senior Youth Theatre works like any professional theatre company, a highly motivated ensemble of young actors with committed leaders taking the groups through invigorating and challenging training and projects.
Membership is very limited, although there is a waiting list, and applicants must complete and return an application form.
