Open Access Courses
LYT run a variety of open projects and workshops which offer opportunities for a range of ages and levels of experience. Details of projects you can get involved in are below.
We also run weekly youth theatre classes and places for these fill up very quickly each term. If you add yourself onto our mailing list then we can let you know about projects and workshops coming up and you will be the first to know when we are accepting applications for the weekly youth theatre classes.

Play LYT
Drama and games for 5-7 years
Play combines games and lively activities, exploring drama through play. Sessions are open to all, on a first-come, first-served basis and run by drama tutors who have specific professional experience working with this age range.
As an added benefit, being a member of Play LYT allows members to bypass the waiting list and guarantees a place in Mini LYT.
The next block of Play LYT runs from 28 October -18 November.
Fridays 2pm-3.30pm

LYT Midlothian - Drama Sessions for 12-16 year olds
LYT Midlothian is a great way to have fun and build confidence using drama. Work with Lyceum Youth Theatre directors to create theatre that’s never been done before.
Free Taster Sesssion - Tuesday 24 January 6-7.30pm
Then: 31 January - 27 March, 6-7.30pm
Where: Dalkeith Arts Centre (next to Dalkeith Library)
Cost: £2.50 per session (except 24 Jan)
