Youth Theatre

Lyceum Youth Theatre is one of Scotland's biggest youth theatre companies and has established a name for itself as a producer of high quality contemporary theatre, by young people.

Established in 1999, LYT has enabled thousands of young people aged between 5 and 18 to get involved in drama. LYT provides a broad range of high quality theatre experiences in a positive and supportive environment. Under the LYT banner, young people can develop their skills, not only in theatre and performance but also in terms of communication, confidence and creativity.

LYT offers regular weekly drama sessions as well as a range of other projects, workshops and performances. Young people are given the opportunity to develop skills and learn from experienced tutors, working in a professional manner as young actors and theatre makers.

Run with the ethos of a professional theatre company, LYT has performed in over 15 major Scottish venues, along with venues in London, Oslo and Seattle. LYT is also recognised as a reliable source of young Scottish talent and is regularly approached by casting agencies for film and television productions.
